Is Islam dangerous for the world?

i come from lebanon i was born and raised in lebanon which used to be the only majority christian country in the middle east we were open-minded we were fair we were tolerant we were multicultural we prided ourselves on our multiculturalism we had open border policy we welcomed everyone to come to our country because we wanted to share with them the westernization which we had created in the heart of the arabic world muslims used to send their children to study in our universities because we had built the best universities in the arabic world they graduated and worked in our economy because we had built the best economy in the middle east even though we did not have any oil beirut became paris of the middle east the banking capital of the middle east in 1965 national geographic magazine had on its front cover lebanon eden of the middle east unfortunately all this began to change as the years went by see we got our independence in the early 40s but by the 60s and 70s the christians had become the minority and the muslims had become the majority in lebanon and as the islamic um population grew in the country the country became less and less tolerant because they started pushing for more rights that were not compatible without with our judeo-christian value system that we had created and that's when the problems started the problem was contained until the influx of the palestinians out of jordan in 1970 when lebanon brought them in because we already had refugee camps actually at that time lebanon was the only country in the middle east to accept the third wave of palestinians into lebanon the majority of them were muslims they put their heads together with the muslims in lebanon and declared jihad on the christians what they wanted to do is create a base from which to fight israel kill the jews and throw them into the sea something they tried to do in jordan yes arafat and the palestinians tried to do in jordan but they failed because of the dictatorship of the king yet they were able to come to lebanon use our open-mindedness our fairness our tolerance our multiculturalism and our democracy to topple our democracy my 911 happened to me in 1975 when that when radical muslims blew up my home bringing it down bearing me under the rubble wounded as they shouted allahu akbar my only crime was that i was a christian living in a christian town i ended up in a hospital for two and a half months and as i laid in a hospital bed hooked up to ivs on both arms i would ask my parents why did they do this to us why did they attack us and my father would tell me because we are christians the muslims consider us infidels and they want to kill us so i knew since i was a 10 year old child that i am wanted dead simply because i was born into the christian faith and lived in a christian town

राकेश टिकैत कौन है जो किसानों को भड़का रहा है? | Who is Rakesh Tikait Who is Inciting Farmers?

January 07, 2021

Samsung Galaxy M51 (Electric Blue, 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage) Review | Samsung Galaxy M51 Review India

Samsung Galaxy M51 Review India

At first glance, it looks a bit bulky. Camera, display etc. are satisfactory. Overall GOOD non-Chinese phone.

However, for their improvement, I tried to give some critical feedback to the company over the phone but it was not so easy, so, I am writing here so that Samsung India can take this critical review for their improvement.

Battery:
The battery is 7K MHA but it is draining so fast that its overall backup time is slightly better than any other average phone.

User Interface:
The user interface needs tremendous improvement. You can't take a screenshot easily. You need to learn fine motor coordination between your fingers and power&volume button with microsecond precision. After three days I discovered taking a screenshot by swapping screen. But this easy method for taking a screenshot is not easy to find in its setting section. Automatic redial isn't available. also in setting section, searching for a basic operation like redial, call waiting etc are either missing or very difficult to access. UI should be more intelligent and intuitive. Call recording should take permission from the user before it starts recording any call.

Dolby Sound:
Dolby sound effect is excellent but it's available only for external speaker. Inbuilt speaker don't have Dolby effect. You have to buy headphone or external speaker for experiencing Dolby sound effect. Its Dolby software is so impressive that its work on the cheapest headphone but Samsung's own inbuilt speaker doesn't.

External Outlook:
Read somewhere that this phone has 3D prism-like glastic body. GLASTIC seems to be a discovery of new material (Glass+Plastic) because it looks transparent and shining. But in reality, its a cheap-looking smooth and slippery plastic back body. Also, It's prone to scratches neither it's water-resistant. Sometimes it generates heat. In this price segment, Samsung can easily provide metallic back for better appearance and transfer of heat.

Overall, its good non-china phone with good camera and display, a bit bulky, satisfactory speed, the scope of tremendous improvement in UI and setting, and bit overpriced.

OnePlus Nord 5G (Blue Marble, 12GB RAM, 256GB Storage) Review | OnePlus Nord 5G Review India

OnePlus Nord 5G Review India

Pros:
1) Clean and bloat-free OxygenOS, which runs as smooth as they come.
2) AMOLED screen and 90Hz refresh rate really go along to make the display above average.
3) Battery life is decent and will last a day on normal usage.
4) Sound quality is good and modestly loud. (Drawback in Cons)
5) The design actually fits the hand well as it is shorter than usual on breadth, and a bit more on length, all the better viewing experience.
6) Gaming performance is average. (Similar phones in this range have better gaming performances)
7) The phone looks and feels premium while using.
8) The alert slider makes it very convenient to switch between different modes.
9) Face Unlock is as fast as other OnePlus phones. (Very very fast)

Cons:
1) The camera is not as good as it was expected. The macro lens is pretty useless, and the main camera lacks depth and the colours aren't as vibrant as OnePlus 8. A bit too much of beautification was there in selfie shots. 4K video recording @ 60fps is absent but 1080@60fps performance is quite good. (The camera is better than most phones out there but it isn't what we were promised)
2) no headphone jack.
3) The mono speaker is on the bottom right of the phone, which tends to get covered by your hand while using. Also, being on just one side of the phone, the audio isn't as well delivered as it is on a stereo speaker.
4) No expandable memory slot.
5) The plastic frame (doesn't look like plastic but it is) is a worrying thing and makes the phone *comparatively* less durable.
6) Fingerprint scanner being under the screen isn't as quick as a traditional fingerprint scanner on the back.

Recommendation: If you're looking for a phone which delivers high performance and smooth interface for your daily use, go for it.
But if your prime purpose is gaming, there are better options available.
Also, if you're expecting flagship camera performance, you might want to consider other phones. (Pixel 4a is about to release, that's far better probably)

Update: Pixel 4a camera is surely much better than Nord's camera.

Is Privatisation of PSU Good or Bad for India?

January 04, 2021

Is Privatisation of PSU Good or Bad for India?

Is Privatisation of PSU Good or Bad for India?

Disinvestment of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) is an avowed policy of the Union government. With the dismal track record of several PSUs, the Centre cannot be blamed for the decision to disinvest. Gone are the days of the Nehruvian euphoria for creating PSUs with their ‘commanding heights’.

Did PSU’s ever help us?

Times have changed and the economy now has other engines of growth. But it should not be hastily inferred that all PSUs have failed us. In the initial decades after Independence, when the private investment of substantial magnitude was scarce and timid, core PSUs kick-started India’s economy and provided a robust framework for economic growth.

Do we still need them?

Providing employment was one of the objectives, though not the paramount one. Nevertheless, in the years that followed, several PSUs became white elephants serving neither a social nor economic cause. Many of them naturally became black holes for public money. They were often textbook cases of poor management and aggressive trade unionism and became umpireless playfields for political parties with myopic objectives.

In fairness, it should be mentioned that Central government PSUs are a shade better than several state PSUs, most of which lead to a blatant parasitical existence.

Where did it all start?

By 1991 when the country embarked on the policies of liberalization, privatization became a natural credo. Selling off unviable PSUs and phasing out those from areas where the private sector can provide better and cheaper goods and services was imperative. Governments since then have sold several units either fully or partially.

What is the rational Justification behind disinvestment?

There always has been a rational justification in disinvestments so far. For instance, it was argued, and rightly so, that the government need not be in tourism, hotel industry, consumer goods manufacturing, automobiles, and such sectors where private players can provide consumers with abundant choice. The argument was the government could utilize the money gained by selling off PSUs to improve services in public goods like infrastructure, health, and education. It was widely held in the nineties that the state needs to concentrate on these areas aimed at human resource development that would facilitate and accelerate economic growth.

What do people think of this?

The poll called 'Mood of the Nation' (MOTN) asked respondents to assess the central government's decision to privatise Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Air India and Shipping Corporation of India. As many as 44 per cent people supported the Centre's privatisation drive, while 39 per cent opposed the government's decision to sell its majority stake in the Public Sector Units (PSUs). Whereas 17 per cent either didn't know about the government's privatisation policy or were not sure about it.

Conclusion: PSU’s were the need of the hour when our country was young, In recent years, PSU’s have become a burden on the government and have not helped it in any way. So I believe that it is in the best interest of the nation that PSU’s are privatised.

I hoped you liked my answer and I apologise for any unintentional error.

Jay Hind!
