Jaipur Itinerary for 2 Days

Jaipur is a beautiful city filled with a rich history, culture and stunning architecture. Two days in Jaipur is enough time to explore some of its most popular attractions. Here is a suggested itinerary for 2 days in Jaipur:

Day 1:

Morning:

  1. Start your day early by visiting the iconic Hawa Mahal, also known as the "Palace of the Winds". It is an impressive five-story palace with intricately designed windows and balconies, built for the royal women to observe the street life below without being seen.

  2. Next, head to the City Palace, which is located just a few minutes walk away from the Hawa Mahal. The City Palace is a magnificent complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings, with a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.

  3. After visiting the City Palace, you can explore the nearby Jantar Mantar, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and an astronomical observatory from the 18th century.

Afternoon:

  1. Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant and try some authentic Rajasthani cuisine such as Daal Baati Churma, Laal Maas or Gatte ki Sabzi.

  2. After lunch, visit the famous Amber Fort, located on the outskirts of Jaipur. This stunning fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is known for its intricate architecture, beautiful mirror work and impressive views of the city.

  3. End your day by exploring the local markets in Jaipur such as Johari Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar and Tripolia Bazaar, which are famous for their textiles, jewellery, handicrafts and souvenirs.

  1. Start your second day with a visit to the magnificent Jaigarh Fort. It is located on a hilltop overlooking the Amber Fort and provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The fort also houses the world's largest cannon, Jaivana.

  2. Next, head to the stunning Nahargarh Fort, located on the Aravalli Hills. This fort was built in the 18th century and is known for its beautiful architecture, gardens and spectacular views of the city.

  2. After lunch, visit the famous Albert Hall Museum, which is located in the heart of Jaipur. This museum is home to a vast collection of artefacts, paintings and sculptures, including some ancient Egyptian artefacts.

  3. End your day with a visit to the beautiful and serene Birla Mandir, also known as Laxmi Narayan Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi and is a perfect spot for some quiet reflection.
