Itinerary for the Meghalaya Trip

Day 1: Start your trip in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Visit the Ward's Lake, a man-made lake surrounded by hills. Take a walk through the Lady Hydari Park, a beautiful park with a variety of flowers and trees. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Meghalayan meal at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Drive to Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra, which is known as the "wettest place on Earth". Visit the Nohkalikai Falls, the highest plunge waterfall in India. Take a walk through the Mawsmai Caves, a network of limestone caves. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire and stargazing at a nearby campsite.

Day 3: Drive to Mawlynnong, which is known as the "cleanest village in Asia". Visit the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a natural bridge formed by the roots of two trees. Take a walk through the Mawlynnong Eco-Park, a park with a variety of plants and animals. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Khasi meal at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Drive to Dawki, which is known for its clear blue waters. Take a boat ride on the river and enjoy the stunning scenery. Visit the Umngot River, which is known as the "Mini Niagara". In the evening, enjoy a barbecue dinner at a riverside restaurant.

Day 5: Drive back to Guwahati, the gateway to Meghalaya. Visit the Kamakhya Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. Take a walk through the Guwahati City Market, a bustling market with a variety of goods for sale. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
